DISTRICT PLAN
Valley Stream District 30’s work is guided by a series of district plans that ensure our schools operate safely, effectively, and in compliance with New York State Education Department (NYSED) requirements. Each plan supports the district’s mission to educate, inspire, and celebrate every student, aligning with our Strategic Plan and Board of Education policies. These plans are reviewed annually or biannually to ensure they remain current and effective. Each plan includes required committee members based on the plan’s purpose. The Board of Education approves these committee members each year at the Reorganization Meeting held in July. Various members of our school community, including staff, administrators, and parents, participate in reviewing and updating the plans to keep them relevant and responsive to student needs. Together, these plans guide our daily work, ensuring that we meet state requirements while supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of all students.
