Welcome to the Valley Stream District 30 UFSD 2024-2025 budget information webpage.

This page is designed to provide Valley Stream District 30 residents with budget information in a transparent and timely manner. The budget that is presented initially is one that is prepared by district administrators with direction from the Board of Education. However, with Board and community input, the budget that is adopted in the Spring is ultimately that of the Board of Education.

For the 2024-2025 the community will have the opportunity to vote for the following proposed Capital Projects to be expense from the Capital Reserves Funds (at a 0% increase of the tax payers levy).

The total Capital Work starting in July 1, 2024, will be financed in two ways, with no additional cost to the tax payers.  The first one is a $3 million transfer to our capital reserve account.

The second is an appropriation and expenditure from the Capital Reserve Funds. This is proposition #2 for the May 21, 2024 Budget Vote. 

The projects include:

• Construction of  a gym for students at Shaw Avenue School,
• Playground equipment at Shaw Avenue School,
• Security vestibules at Clear Stream School, Forest Road School, and Shaw Avenue School,
• Parking spaces at Shaw Avenue School, and
• Other work required in connection therewith
