Shaw Avenue is the place to be!
Every day in school matters. When students are present, on time, and ready to learn, they build strong routines, stay connected to their classmates, and continue growing academically and socially.
We are encouraging all of our students to “spring into success” by showing up each day and giving their best effort. Even missing a few days can make it harder to keep up, so your partnership in making attendance a priority truly makes a difference.
Let’s continue working together to ensure our students are here, learning, and thriving every day!

Ms. Tyler's class had a wonderful time celebrating Earth Day! We spent the day learning about how to take care of our planet by discussing simple, meaningful ways we can help. The students were introduced to the 3 R’s—Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle—and shared thoughtful ideas about how they can make a difference every day. A special highlight was when Miss Nageer showed us how to reuse paper by creating our very own bowls, beads, and even a new sheet of paper. It was a fun, hands-on activity that helped bring our learning to life. What a valuable and memorable lesson for our students.

Mrs. Forcina’s Pre-K students had so much fun learning all about the life cycle of a butterfly! We read The Very Hungry Caterpillar and followed the caterpillar's journey as it ate its way through the story before transforming into a beautiful butterfly. We talked about each stage of the butterfly life cycle-egg, caterpillar, chrysalis, and butterfly-and how living things grow and change. To bring our learning to life, the children created their very own caterpillar and smooshed paint butterfly crafts, showing their creativity while reinforcing what they learned. It was a wonderful hands-on way to explore science, literacy, and art all together!
