On April 30, kindergartners at Forest Road School in Valley Stream District 30 discovered a variety of insects during a special visit from the Long Island Children’s Museum.

LICM outreach program director Jennifer Henriquez led the discussion, “All Abuzz,” in which she shared numerous insects that are featured both in the community and around the world. She also shared framed insects such as butterflies, moths and a praying mantis. Additionally, students were allowed to safely touch some of the rare live insects.
