Technology Students with Drones

Valley Stream 30's strategic plan speaks to the importance of technology in our district. We aim to provide access to technological resources in an equitable manner, ignite student interest in learning through the use of state of the art technology, and anticipate the technological and instructional needs of our students as they progress through primary school and beyond.

It is our philosophy that technology, if used purposefully, will not only make learning transformational for children, but will cultivate the 21st Century skills needed in order to become the global leaders of tomorrow.

Data Security and Privacy
(Cybersecurity)

Technology is an integral part of the teaching and learning experience in the Valley Stream 30 Union Free School District. The ever-increasing availability of online teaching and learning resources comes with inherent risks and concerns regarding student data, privacy, and student work. As a district, we have a responsibility to ensure that student's data and privacy is adequately protected while using any online digital resource for school work. The Valley Stream 30 Union Free School District provides information/resources for parents, teachers, and the community so that they can better understand what student data is, how student data is collected and used and the laws and practices that the district adheres to in order to protect student data and privacy.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding data privacy and security, please contact Leonard Wright III, Director of Technology and Data / Chief Information Officer (CIO) .
