On March 18, Yolanda Turner of the Nassau County Police Department visited Forest Road School in Valley Stream District 30 to discuss her career as a police officer.
Officer Turner discussed her responsibilities as a police officer and she shared some of the best safety practices for students in everyday situations. She also shared tips on how students should combat strangers. After the presentation, she held a question-and-answer session with students.
The district would like to thank Officer Turner for meeting with Forest Road’s students.
