Fifth graders at Shaw Avenue Elementary School’s in Valley Stream District 30 concluded Black History Month with a special presentation.  

Each student was tasked with researching a historical figure in Black history. Students showcased their knowledge with parents, district administrators and teachers as they walked around the classrooms to view the creative slideshows.
