Welcome the Business and Human Resources department aims to enhance student learning through capital planning, prudent facilities management, and sound fiscal and human resource practices.

Our primary responsibilities encompass a wide array of vital functions, including:

  • Accounting, Auditing, and Financial Reporting: Maintaining accurate financial records, conducting audits, and providing transparent reporting to stakeholders.

  • Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Benefits: Managing payments to vendors, processing payroll for employees, and administering employee benefits programs.

  • Budget Management: Developing, monitoring, and optimizing the district's budget to align with educational goals and community needs.

  • Facilities/Buildings and Grounds: Overseeing the maintenance, operations, and improvements of Valley Stream #30's facilities and grounds to ensure a safe and conducive environment for learning.

  • Food Service: Managing the district's food service program to provide nutritious meals to students while adhering to regulatory standards.

  • Purchasing: Facilitating the procurement of goods and services necessary for the district's operations in a cost-effective and efficient manner.

  • Risk Management: Identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks to protect the district's assets, employees, and students.

  • Transportation: Coordinating transportation services to ensure the safe and reliable transportation of students to and from school and school-related activities.
