Forest Road Celebrates EID

IMG_7929.jpg thumbnail139330
Forest Road School celebrated EID on October 7th with their friends from the Muslim community. Students and staff were treated to festive music, delicious treats and an education on the joyous occasion. Students learned that Muslims view this as a time to be self-reflective and do kind deeds for others. It is also a time to share food and joy. Forest Road parents did just that with everyone in our school! Each class had the opportunity to enjoy cupcakes and cookies and thoughtful gifts were shared with the school's staff. Sulaiman Zohair, a sixth-grade student, spoke to the entire school about EID and many students wore traditional clothing to school for the celebration. There were smiles all around and the school extends its deepest appreciation to the parents and families who contributed to the day and taught us about their culture!
