In preparation for the 2018-19 school year, Valley Stream District 30 held their annual board of education reorganization meeting on July 3 where officers were appointed and sworn in. Reelected trustee Ingrid Wyllie-Dacon was sworn in for another five-year term on the board and was elected the new board vice-president. Former Vice-President Kenneth Cummings was appointed as the new president of the board.
In addition, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Nicholas Stirling took the oath of office to uphold his duties as superintendent while district clerk Anne O’Brien and district treasurer Anthony Cedrone were reappointed into their positions and took the oath.
