It was a day of exploration for students at Clear Stream Avenue School as they participated in a hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics museum facilitated by Mobile Education Productions on Feb. 12. Sponsored by the Clear Stream PTA, family members volunteered their time during the event as STEAM presenter A.J. Kohn educated the students on the various STEAM stations throughout the school gymnasium. 

Kohn spoke with classes at the beginning of each session about the meaning of STEAM and showcased a working 3-D printer and robot which responded to the sound of his voice. Students then had the opportunity to walk around the gymnasium and experiment with the STEAM activities. Among the stations were a plasma sphere to explore the power of energized gas, music maker to experiment with sound, buzz wire game to better understand electrical circuits, bike generator to convert potential energy into kinetic energy, structure challenge to build the tallest skyscraper or strongest bridge and different robotics activities.
