Sixth-grade students in Christopher Onorato’s class recently participated in a unique media project for their unit in social studies on both the Neolithic and the Paleolithic Era (New and Old Stone Age).
The students used the Minecraft Gaming Platform to create their own digital world to depict the elements that make up the Neolithic time period. Students created their own farms, animal pens and shelters through the program.
Onorato was impressed with the level of creativity that the students showed.
“I was blown away by the ability some of them had to demonstrate their knowledge of the curriculum in such a unique way,” he said.
