Forest Road students and staff did not let the gloomy weather break their spirits as they celebrated Halloween on Oct. 31. Dressed in their creative costumes, classes participated in a sing along, led by music teacher Sarah Fernandez and a parade around the school building.

Principal Erin Malone, Assistant Principal Michael DeBlasio, nurse Kelly Skliros and secretaries Hayley Siegel and Ashley Starna joined the fun, dressing as the Addams Family. The group kicked off the celebration in the gymnasium before the Halloween sing along. Principal Malone announced the winners of the school’s pumpkin decorating contest. Classes were awarded based on several different categories.

Students then jumped into the sing along with Mrs. Fernandez. They sang and danced together to Halloween songs such as “Purple People Eater.” After the sing along, classes exited the gymnasium and went outside for their costume parade. Family members were invited to the special event and cheered on the children as they showed off their costumes and walked around the school building.
