Students throughout the district recently participated in the iGame4 Fitness Program. The program was held at Clear Stream, Forest Road and Shaw Avenue schools for a week to encourage fitness and a healthy lifestyle.
Set up in the gymnasium, iGame4 uses active video games to improve endurance, flexibility, balance and the overall health of students. With the help of physical education teachers, an iGame4 instructor visited each school to facilitate the games. With fitness trackers attached to their clothing, students rotated between four stations and participated in action adventure, animal and dance games both independently and with their peers.
In addition, each school hosted an iGame4 Family Night which gave families throughout the district the opportunity to spend quality time with their children and try the program out themselves.
